Remembering That I Own A Camera

After getting drunk and losing my first digital camera, I'm super paranoid about taking my camera anywhere I might do something stupid and therby jeopardize the well-being of said camera. While I'd like to congratulate myself on this forethought and caution, it ends up causing my camera to spend more time gathering dust than taking pictures. Because, well, the majority of activities I partake in during my free time could be considered pretty stupid.

But I really do enjoy taking pictures, so I've decided to start taking my camera out and about more often, and maybe, just maybe, trying not to be such a jackass all the time. Well, at least in regards to my camera.

Oh, and after writing all that, none of these pictures were taken of/during such activities. So not to mislead you, my imaginary readers, I'd like to clarify the reason for the above. These are the first pictures I've taken in awhile, and it got me thinking about how I should take more pictures, and why I haven't. And now it's occuring to me that this sort of rambling is supposed to be reserved for my normal/non photo blog. Such is life.

Eloise, the production office cat. Yes, I do need a pet of my own to take stupid pictures of.

Glen took this. This face is how I feel about having my picture taken when I don't have time to make obscene gestures.

This is my dad. I really like this picture, it's from a hike we took at the beach a few weeks ago.

The rest are from a soothing afternoon at the corning preserve in Albany last weekend.

Fuck.

Charlie and Boris. (Boris is my god-dog, by the by. So if Dave and Glen get hit by a train, he's all mine. Score.)
